Alyssa H.

My name is Alyssa.  I’ve loved working with kids for as long as I can remember, and my childcare experience began when I started babysitting when I was 14 for several different families and kids of different ages.   I graduated high school in June of 2023 and gained lots of unpaid experience with children through a program that allowed me to volunteer at an elementary school throughout my time in high school.

I worked for the Napa County Office of Education for a school year as an after school Classroom Leader. During my time there I cared for my class of 25 students on my own,  3rd-5th graders and taught them art, directed a drama club, and aided/supervised during their homework time, outdoor playtime, and snack time.   I was also responsible for clean up, and have additional food prep and maintenance/ cleaning experience from my time working at a yogurt shop for two years in high school.

I am CPR and First Aid certified and have attended countless trainings/meetings on different subjects such as the power of play, mandated reporting, professional development, DEI, and more.  I am happiest when I am around the people I love, reading, or outdoors!  I am passionate about childcare and education, and my goal is to nurture the potential in any child I work with and guide them with patience, creativity, and dedication.
